My background

Like many I fell into HR, through my passion for people and business.  My first HR role was with Sainsbury's back in the 90's having completed an apprecticeship with them I went on to become Assistant Personnel and Training Manager.

I spent a short period of time with Kwik Fit in a regional HR Officer role, and with Sodexho as HR Officer on the Colchester MOD, both organisations gave me a rich HR experience in a fast paced environment with a high level of Employee Relations issues.

In 2002 I joined Mellon Bank as an HR Consultant supporting 400 employees across the full spectrum on Human Resources.  During this time I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources at the University of East Anglia.

In 2006 I joined HID Global an ASSA ABLOY group company as HR Manager for the UK.  This role very quickly developed into the Head of HR for EMEA with a seat on the Leadership team.  During my 5 years with HID I established the HR function in EMEA and lead the organisation through a number of international acquisitions.

2011 I took an internal promotion within the Group to HR Director for ASSA ABLOY Entrance systems, where I spent nine months based at the head office in Sweden.  Responsible for estalishing the HR Strategy following the appointment of a new president, I worked closely with the country General Managers and onsite HR Managers to raise the profile of HR with the organisation.

2012 I joined Linx Printing Technologies part of the Danaher group as HR Director, and immediately introduced a proactive HR service hiring two exceptional HRBP's to work with the business to improve employee engagement, retention, performance and recruitment.  Through the introduction of process and training, employee engagement increased significantly, recruitment costs were almost halved and legal expenses dropped to almost zero.

Early 2017 after 5 fantastic years with Danaher I decided to leave the corporate world and set up my own HR, Training and Coaching consultancy.  My aim is to help more businesses unlock the potential within their teams through effective HR practices, training and coaching interventions.
